Romney, WV - Loan Officer

We are now recruiting for a Loan Officer (Country Living/Country Mortgages) to be based out of our Romney WV office.  This is a new position and we are seeking to fill it at the entry-level for loan officers.
Our loan officers are committed to serving our borrowers with sound, productive credit solutions.  We work in a unique team environment focused on exceeding our customer’s expectations.  All of our loan officers demonstrate a strong work ethic and are committed to doing whatever it takes to provide exceptional customer service.
Job qualifications include:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Agriculture (or related) or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated strong customer relationship skills with effective communication skills
  • Current awareness of region’s economic &/or agriculture environment preferred
  • Knowledge of secondary mortgage market a plus
  • Strong ability to form effective internal working relationships and ability to work in high performing team environment
  • Ability to make sound business decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with demonstrated ability to learn new technology

Harrisonburg Agribusiness Processing

This newly created position is an addition to the Agribusiness function in Harrisonburg.  The Agribusiness processors coordinate all the loan related documents and closings for our large & complex agribusiness loans.  They complete wires/checks for loan closings, book loans to the system, and verify accuracy of systems after closing & booking.  They assist the loan officers on billing, collections, releases, note modifications and other credit accounting matters.  Coordinates participation and Farm Credit leasing activities. Job requirements include:

ˇ         Associates degree in Business or Accounting or related field (or comparable work experience)

ˇ         At least two years experience with portfolio lending administration and demonstrated in-depth knowledge of complex commercial ag loan documentation

ˇ         Proficient in Microsoft Office products with demonstrated ability to learn new technology

ˇ         Exceptional skills in interacting within a diverse team and providing exceptional internal/external customer service

ˇ         Strong work ethic with high integrity

ˇ         Demonstrated ability to work independently under minimal supervision
